ARE YOU A MODERN DAY DESPERATE WOMAN??????
WHY IS THE NEED TO BE “IN LOVE” SO POWERFUL THAT WE ACTUALLY SACRIFICE OUR INTELLIGENCE, INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER TO HAVE SOMEONE?
I recently returned from Los Angeles where I spent some time observing our male and female counterparts on the West Coast.
Some thoughts....
We sacrifice our morals, abandon our values and lose ourselves just in order to keep a bad relationship alive! Men and women both do this, but I must say that women are much guiltier of this than men because women actually believe that they can CHANGE their man. Men don’t do this because they come from the “take it or leave it perspective”. Most men believe that women are a dime a dozen and if, “this one doesn’t like the way I am, another ones right around the corner who will.”
Society and biology also play major roles in influencing women` s behavior regarding men. When women pass the age of 32 most of their girlfriends are married or on their way to becoming wives. A women in her early to mid 30`s that has never been married or unattached starts to be looked upon as irregular or in someway flawed. ( Of course a man at this same age is ripe, seasoned and obviously career oriented) To make matters worse, around the same time women start to hear the tick-tock of their biological clocks. This newly recognizable sound combined with societies injection of the “spinster fear” are the perfect ingredients to create the MODERN DAY DESPERATE SINGLE WOMAN.
This creature can be spotted a mile away. She cannot disguise, hide or conceal her intentions to save her life. She hangs on every word her love interest says, she has no mystery and will sacrifice her values, and morph into anything her man wants her to become: just to maintain her empty relationship or cultivate a bad one. She has totally lost her sense of self.
Men react two ways to the MODERN DAY DESPERATE SINGLE WOMEN. Men will either run for the hills or manipulate, use and abuse this type of women. Take your pick either behavior leaves the MODERN DAY DESPERATE SINGLE WOMEN alone and feverishly searching for the one.
During my travels I jotted down some rules I hold true, I believe whether you are in L-A or MAN-hattan,
1) The harder you search for love, the more elusive it will become.
2) It is better to be lonely alone than lonely with someone.
3) When you are single, become completely self absorbed in a positive way. Maximize your appearance, cultivate your mind and further your career. This will make you look better, be more confident and ultimately become extremely secure. You will also pass the time in a productive way until you meet the one! And you will!!!
4) You don’t date just to date, your wasting everyone’s time! You will also end up more depressed on a bad or boring date, than if you had spent that time home alone!
5) When your out with Mr. Right, less is more and too much is Desperate!
